Regional District Agricultural Plan
The development of an Agriculture Plan to identify and address local agricultural issues was identified as a priority project for the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako (RDBN) Planning Department in 2011.
The Agriculture Plan will be developed through a comprehensive consultation process guided by a knowledgeable working group. The working group is made up of RDBN staff, RDBN Board representatives and stakeholder representatives, who have experience and expertise in local agriculture.
Other stakeholders and interested parties will be involved in the Agricultural Plan through regional workshops, public open houses and referrals. These workshops and open houses will be advertised locally and information will be posted on the RDBN website on a regular basis.
Please check your local newspapers and the RDBN website throughout the year for updates and information on the Regional District Agricultural Plan.
If you have questions or comments, or require further information, please contact the Regional District Planning Department at 250-692-3195 or 1-800-320-3339.
The RDBB would like input from local producers and consumers. The surveys (see links below) take only a few minutes to complete, and will assist the Regional District in drafting a plan to support local agriculture. Please consider checking this out.
